House System

Hodgkins House System

A shield with the Hodgkins Panther text in the center and the house colors surrounding, with the names of each house superimposed.

The House System allows students from all grades to build relationships across classes by older students mentoring younger students. Each student and staff member is sorted into a specific house.  Our goal is for students to feel as if they truly know the staff and students in our school and that we are united as one.

Each house represents a specific leadership trait. Houses will meet throughout the year to develop leadership and community through team activities and projects. Students may earn points for their houses by demonstrating excellent leadership each day.  Points are tallied monthly and the winning house is rewarded at the end of the year.

Students may wear house colors on House Meeting Days, which will take place on Early Release days (1st and 3rd Monday of each month).

The houses and colors are as follows:

  • House of Inspiration: blue and gray
  • House of Courage: red and orange
  • House of Compassion: green and yellow
  • House of Vision: purple and white
